Prosperity: the condition of being successful or thriving.
This is my word of the week. The word I will write down every day in my planner. The word I will constantly keep on the tip of my tongue and in the back of my mind. To me, prosperity is an objective, a goal, on my journey to success. For me, success isn’t a state of being. You don’t just become successful and stay there. Being successful means constantly reinventing yourself, making and reaching new goals, and never settling.
When thinking about what prosperity means to me, I chose to look at the second half of the definition. “The condition of thriving.” That is what I want for myself, and for you. I want us to thrive. I want us to be constantly growing, learning, doing more. I never want to be stagnant. That isn’t my definition of success. There is so much out there to learn and discover.
I hope you are thriving, and you are prosperous. I hope you continue to look for ways to better yourself and grow as a person. In this time of year, especially for students, it is finals season. I hope you don’t give up and you work as hard as you can to reach the goals you have set for yourself. I hope you are content with your grades.
Outside of school, I hope you are making new friends, making memories with the friends you do have, and have a great support system. I hope you are making time for yourself and allowing yourself room to explore a new interest and live life.
Prosperity: something I am working towards, and wish for all of you.
