Self-care is important, but you already know that. But, just because it is so important doesn’t mean finding the right products for you is easy. I try new things all of the time to find out what works for me, and right now these things work for me. I have predominantly dry skin with a slightly oily t-zone for reference on the face care. I also have just been diagnosed with hormonal cystic acne, so if that is something you struggle with, these things have really helped me clear up. Disclaimer: not sponsored. All opinions are my own.
1. Eminence Lilikoi Light Defense Face Primer.
This primer is amazing. Hands down one of the best primers I have used in the past 2 years. It has SPF which is incredible and important, but it doesn’t feel like it hand sunscreen in it. It is very moisturizing but not enough to just use on its own if you have dry skin like me so I recommend this as your last step after a daily oil or deep moisturizer. It dries really nicely and a bit tacky to really catch your foundation and make sure it stays on. It smells amazing and I honestly just feel so good using it.
2. Bliss What A Melon Mask.
I love this mask. I use it every single night. I cannot let myself go to bed without this product. It’s an overnight mask but It dries really quickly and doesn’t move overnight or bleed on to your sheets or anything. It is uber moisturizing, smells so good, and makes my skin feel amazing. I literally noticed a difference after the first use. I am usually very skeptical about this kind of product but my sister was raving about it, and honestly, I will use this forever. It is reviving and de-stressing, and really just evens my complexion and makes me feel/look so good in the morning.
3. Aveeno Hydrating Oat Milk Blend Overnight Oats Hair Mask.
The new trend of washing your hair is, well, not. They have found that it is healthier for your hair to not wash it every day to stop the over productions of oils and let your hair kind of refresh itself. When I do wash my hair, about 3 times a week, I use this mask. I love it so much, it smells amazing and really hydrates my hair. It helps it feel revitalized after using heat on it and really hydrates. My boyfriend used it when he was over and came out of the shower, and literally said “that hair mask is too good. My hair is ridiculously soft.” That’s saying something from the boy that used 3-in-1 shower products until I came along.
4. Rosebud Perfume Co. Smith’s Rosebud Salve Tube.
I picked this tube of chapstick up in the checkout line at Ulta, and it changed my life forever. Burts Bees who? This stuff is the best lip salve ever. It is colorless but smells like roses, dries quickly, and isn’t sticky. It makes my lips feel brand new every time I use it. I need to get more because I legitimately get upset when I forget to switch it with my purses or backpack.
5. It CC+ Cream with SPF 50+
I love a full coverage foundation moment, but to let my skin breathe and get a more natural, yet covered, look I use this CC cream. It covers everything I want it to without looking cakey. It has SPF, which again is amazing. It feels great, stays put all day, and is perfect for the everyday no-makeup makeup look.
