It’s September guys! That means it’s the very beginning of the spooky season. If you’re one of those people that doesn’t think it is considered fall until October, you’re wrong.
I live for fall. The aesthetic, the feeling, the colors. In believing that fall is the best season, I also actively try to make it the best season. To do that, I look for the best decor, clothing, beauty products and more to really make sure the whole season is one of prosperity and good things.
Here are my 10 must-have products to make sure you too are living your best fall life:
1. Bath & Body Works Scents
This is the most basic, most “well duh” things I have on this list, but it is absolutely necessary. The pumpkin spice, the cinnamon apple, the cranberry…amazing. From their hand sanitizers to big 3 wick candles, they have you covered. There is nothing more nostalgic or calming than the smell of “fall” to me. It warms my home and makes my space feel more cozy and relaxed than ever. There are so many scents to choose from but here are my top 3:
2. Doc Marten’s
I have had the same pair of maroon/red Doc Marten boots for 7 years. You read that right, 7. They still look new. They still fit perfectly and hold up tp every weather. My boots and I have been to New York, California, and Colorado together. They are seriously the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. Not to mention (if they fit in your aesthetic of course) they look adorable with jeans and a sweater if I do say so myself. They are a bit on the pricey side for shoes, but the durability and comfortability that come with them is unmatched. They come in any color or style you can think of. Shop my exact ones here: My Boots. Disclaimer: they are a bit of a pain in the butt to break in. Just wear thick socks for a couple days for only a couple hours at a time. After about 3 days you will never have to worry about it again!
3. Good Mascara
I make the most out of the slightly chilly weather by caking my face. I love to wear makeup, but, I can’t do that very well in the summer/early fall because it just sweats off walking to class. One part of my makeup that I really like to be on point is lashes. It still gets a little hot, or when it’s too cold and the wind is blowing, I need something that won’t run down my face. I have been using the Tarte Maneater mascara for a few months now and absolutely love it. The wand shape and the formula really make my lashes look long and full. From everyday makeup to Halloween extra looks, I will be using it.
4. Apple Cider
The ultimate fall drink is apple cider. Miss me with the hot chocolate and pumpkin spice lattes (though, those are a close second). Apple cider can be warm, or cold, or boozy, and it is good in any form. I like to buy it from Publix, or you can make your own if you’re feeling homey with this recipe.
5. Corduroy Shirt
I’m calling it, this is my new favorite emerging trend. I recently got an over-sized button up long sleeve corduroy shirt, and I cannot wait for it to be chilly every day. It looks so cute with leggings, fuzzy socks, booties, and a hair scarf. Mine is a caramel color so I grab black leggings and booties along with cheetah print scrunchie and I feel immediately cute. Check mine out here.
6. A Good Straightener.
Fall means less humidity and less humidity means good hair. The best equation. I take full advantage of this and do my hair pretty much every day. I use a straightener to 1. straighten 2. Curl the ends of my hair. I need a tool that can do both really well, heat up enough, and make my hair perfect. This (similar, I could not find mine) straightener is my favorite because it allows me to get really close to my roots for an overall really sleek look and it is thin enough to create the perfect sized curls.
