Blogmas Day 2: Gift Guide – Athletic/gym

Blogmas day 2! It’s the second of 5 gift guides I’ll be kicking this month off with! This gift guide is tailored for the person that likes to lift. They like to clear their mind on the elliptical and you constantly see them post at the gym. They talk about health and wellness.

With my hashimotos diagnosis and just straight up being unhappy with how I look, I have been taking working out and health way more seriously. I have always been active but now I make the conscious effort to understand what I am doing to my body and what I need to do to be better. Here are the top 5 things that have helped me stay focused and on top of it.

1. Good headphones

I will not go to the gym if my headphones aren’t charged. I need to be in the right head space and jamming out. I like the AirPods because they have so many cool features like tapping one of the earphones to skip to the next song. They are lightweight and super reliable. There are many other cheaper options like Raycons or Beats. Get them here.

2. A cute blender bottle

Protein is key baby. I really like blender bottles because you can just put the powder in the bottom, throw it in your gym bag, and fill it up at the water fountain before you leave/after your workout. Cute ones are always fun. I have a baby Yoda one that I just cannot get over. Get it here.

3. Meal prep gift card

Food can be the hardest part of a healthy lifestyle for a lot of people. 4. Sweet Sweat

Sweet sweat is a band that goes around your torso and helps you sweat more during your workout. I don’t use it very often but if I am holding onto a lot of water I will. It also helps keep your core engaged when doing ab circuits. It’s not going to make you lose more weight and it’s not a gimmicky lose-all-of-your-weight-in-a-day type product. But, if you struggle with bloating and water retention, this might help. Get it here.

5. Fitbit

Fitbits are amazing. If you are really serious about working out and knowing your heart rate, tracking your sleep, meals, everything, get a Fitbit. They seriously monitor everything and allow you to optimize your health goals by seeing what your body is doing on a day-to-day basis. Get it here.
