4 Cocktails To Make This Summer – Happy National Cocktail Day!

Today is National Cocktail Day so I decided to share 4 cocktails that will enhance your summer experience by making you feel fancy and fresh! I personally have deemed this summer a “coastal Italian Grandma Summer” meaning I am wearing linen, drenching everything in olive oil, tanning, and sipping on some sort of cocktail outside. Here are 4 drinks to help you achieve this goal as well!

Note: These drinks are for people 21+ in age. Please drink responsibly.

  1. Aperol Spritz

This is my personal favorite summer drink! I think it is so light and refreshing while still getting the job done. Here is my recipe:

Ingredients:

2 oz. Aperol

3 oz. Prosseco of your choice

1 oz. Club soda (I like the tangerine La Croix)

Orange slice to garnish but not required

How To Make:

Layer all ingredients and give it a mix with your straw! Enjoy

2. French 75

French 75’s are another prosecco-based cocktail because nothing screams luxurious to me quite like bubbles. These are delicious and light and will make you feel super fancy. Here’s my recipe:

Ingredients:

1 Oz. Gin

1/2 Oz. Lemon juice, freshly squeezed

1/2 Oz. Simple syrup

3 ounces Prosecco

Rosemary Garnish

How to Make:

  1. Shake gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup in a chilled shaker
  2. Strain into a champagne coupe
  3. Top with Prosecco and rosemary sprig
  4. Enjoy!

3. Sangria

Talk about easy and breezy! I am going to give you a recipe for white sangria (or sangria blanco) because that feels more summer to me! It’s very communal and allows you to share very easily, which I really appreciate about this drink. Here’s my recipe:

Ingredients:

White wine of your choice

Brandy of your choice

Orange slices

Peaches

Club soda

White grape juice (for added sweetness, optional)

How To Make:

Pour wine, splash of brandy, and club soda (and grape juice if you decide to add)into a pitcher with ice

Add your cut fruit and give it a stir! Enjoy!

4. Negroni

This drink feels very serious and sophisticated, but don’t let it intimidate you. This drink is perfect for when you just want a night cap sitting outside, reading a book, overall just very relaxed and elevated vibes. Here’s my recipe:

Ingredients:

1 Oz. Gin

1 Oz. Campari

1 Oz. Sweet Vermouth

Orange peel to garnish

Block Ice

How To Make:

Mix all of the liquids in a cold shaker cup

Strain liquids into a rocks glass with block ice

Garnish with twisted orange peel

Enjoy!
